English for Academic Purposes
If you are planning to study at a college in an English speaking country EAP will give you the skills you need. EAP will build your communication skills by working on Grammar, Vocabulary and Pronunciation, giving you the tools to speak with confidence. You will also become aware of the conventions of academic study such as essay writing structure, listening to lectures and note-taking strategies. We assesses you weekly to monitor your progress. During your final project you will put your skills into practice. Mackay Language College provides a supportive environment to prepare you for independent study at tertiary institutions.

Entry level
You need a level of Intermediate on the Mackay Language College Placement test or
IELTS 5.0 (minimum of 4.0 in the writing module).
